I've only listened to the 'Wide Sargasso Sea' and 'To The Lighthouse' episodes of this series, so I can't speak for the others, but for me these were fascinating. They're perfect for high school students (myself included!) who aren't just interested in good grades but are looking to have a really worthwhile learning experience when studying literature - I don't start studying WSS until next week but hearing intelligent people banter about it in the discussion was really helpful as context. On the other hand, these recordings are great even if you don't 'need' to know anything about the books; I read TTL in my own time this summer and the 11-minute interview here was enjoyable listening, even if just to hear the language and share in the enthusiasm with which Valerie Ross describes the story. The production quality on the WSS discussion leaves a little to be desired, because some people were clearly further away from the recording equipment than others; however if you turn the volume up you should have no problem hearing it. : )
