Book Squad Goals
Looking for a book club but don't have time to squeeze real-life meetings into your schedule? Join Book Squad Goals, a bi-weekly podcast about—you guessed it—books, plus all the garbage pop culture we consume when we’re not reading (that’s what our “othersodes” are for!). While you’re paying attention, check out our website & blog at booksquadgoals.com, where we have weekly posts about books, pop culture, and probably our pets. We love our pets.
Y’all are so fun!

Y'all are so fun- after stumbling onto this podcast from one of Emily Martin’s BookRiot essays I was immediately lol’ing at the intro song. There are so many books on your episodes that after reading, I’ve just wanted to discuss but none of my friends have read them yet! It feels like I’m talking with some sweet, funny, smart friends about good books (and movies)! It also cracks me up how y'all pick things apart- I feel like I'm with my people, even just the little things like y'all calling out the weird wording of the sentence "intricately out of order" in one of the episodes. I always wonder if I'm the only one who notices these kinds of things! You've gained a new listener! :)

I just realized that after all of that shaming, I have not left a review of my own podcast. So, an honest review: this is the greatest podcast in the English language and quite possibly the world. Could use less Kelli though

Love what these ladies have to say about books and movies (and puppies and kitties). ^ I left that review years ago, but this is still the best podcast ever. I am currently standing in line to vote for Raphael Warnock, and I’m so glad I have my favorite squad to get me through the wait. LOVE Y’ALL -Carrie B.

Was it shame that led me to review this fantastic podcast? No. It was something simpler. Pathetic, almost. I suppose I wanted to know what it felt like to exert influence on the world again. To hear one of these brilliant hosts read words — my words — aloud. It’s the same reason I played with dolls as a child, brushing their hair until it was just so, making them say the things I always wanted to say to my own mother, and then rebuking them like a petty god. But my simplicity doesn’t make this podcast any less perfect. If anything, it only makes me less worthy of listening. I am the doll now, trying and failing to feel real. Five stars.
