British Schoolboy Fisticuffs! Pettis and Wonderboy! Jarrett Does Pans! Fight Stuff!

We kick off this episode of Fight Stuff with a couple British students havin' a square off in a round of fisticuffs which prompts a whole episode discussing filling up the basement before heading to the attic, the etiquette of no ground game but you have to shake hands after you're done. We discuss the class war surrounding leg attacks in jiu jitsu and the civility of sportsmanship fighting. We discuss our new tagline: The Combat podcast for everyone! And then Sporps: Bellator takes us to Thackerville, OK where Gerald Harris and Anatoly Tokov and went back and forth and challenged the definition of CTE only to bring back the ten finger guillotine, a Pettis vs TMA Master Stephen Wonderboy Thompson break down from UFC Fight Night, a dojo storm featuring Nam Phan, sometimes when you get TKO’d you’re just tired and inefficient with your movements and that shouldn't be considered real kung fu, getting Diaz’ed vs getting Khabib’ed, Wonderboy as a Napoleon Dynamite Uber-mensch Farm boy or he’s gonna be the hottest guy in a redneck town, leglocks and side kicks don’t work, such a sweet boy who just got KTFO. Then on to this week's Show and Tell: Jarrett’s Experience at Pan Americans BJJ competition, being considered old at 30 in the world of IBJJF, the complex and silly scoring of sport fighting, the anxiety and fear of fighting in front of friends and family, pushing through fear, a drug cocktail of weed, kratom, and reading, how lessons learned for preparing and showing up for a sport fight might translate to almost every other aspect of your life, and how if you’re not losing you’re not learning.
