Buffalo Bills Legend Bruce Smith, Baseball Hall of Fame Nonsense, Martin fears Saints back to being Irrelevant

Extra Points

Today is the 19th Anniversary of the first episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live as Cousin Sal and Dave begin the show by remembering the craziness of the first episode. Martin reacts to the news of Sean Payton stepping down as the Saints head coach by putting a brown bag over his head as he worries the Saints will go back to being irrelevant. Sal asks the guys over/under 1.5 between Rodgers, Roethlisberger and Brady, how many of them will be back next season?

Hall of Fame defensive end and Buffalo Bills legend Bruce Smith joins the show to discuss the incredible Chiefs/Bills playoff game and what he saw in those final thirteen seconds. He gives praise of Josh Allen’s performance, why he thought home field would have made a difference and what he said to coach Sean McDermott after the game.

Bruce also talks about all the legends he sacked and how he would have done in this new passing generation of the NFL, plus the one play in his career he wished he could change. Bruce gives his Super Bowl prediction.

Then, the guys discuss what was the biggest overreaction from the NFL weekend and Sal doesn’t like the idea of a “feels like '' temperature. A look at Super Bowl MVP odds and Martin has changed his tune on wanting Aaron Rodgers as the quarterback of his team.

The guys react to the Baseball Hall of Fame news as Dave thinks it’s a joke and bad for the children that Bonds and Clemens didn’t get in. Finally, the Extra Points crew back their picks of the day.
