This podcast is the best true crime podcast I’ve listened to. I am genuinely impressed with the creator and cannot wait to hear her next podcast! I like how Buried in Snow gathers a multitude of perspectives of the people involved in this unsolved murder case as well as the family, the police, and professionals whose life work and research add value to understanding the entirety of this case. More importantly, I love how the creator tells the family’s story, which refused to be listen to by media and police due to the unfortunate way this nation responds to diversity. I have so much respect for the way the creator advocates for black women by telling their stories when no other media outlet will. You don’t want to miss out on this podcast, I promise. Give it a listen and see for yourself.

If you’re interested in the state of the opioid epidemic, particularly in New England; if you care about racial injustice, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Top notch, and spot on. If you care about sound quality at all, you’ll likely quit listening out of sheer frustration. The interviews are muddy at best, and the volume levels between journalist and interviews are vast. I’ve heard some of the local people interviewed on this podcast speak about their experiences around racial injustices on other media (NPR affiliate), so I know that the audio quality can be better. Top marks for relevant investigative journalism! It’s a story that needs to be told, on all levels. The crime of death, the crime of racism, the crime of intentional corporate opioid addiction. If it gets remastered, this would be an easy 5 star.
