Burning up with Bakes George Baker

We back people!!! A lot of you have been asking for me to come back, a lot of you haven't...too bad!!  This episode is just a short welcome back.  A little of what I've been up to and what took so long.  Also talk about changes in my life, taking chances and also some of my own insecurities.  You may not have the same ones but I'm sure you can relate!!  Give a listen, you'll enjoy it. 

In this episode I interview my biggest role model...my mother.  She made me who I am.  She fought her whole life to give me better.  I wanted to take the time to give her some shine.  Let other people understand how amazing she really is.  She's also funny and takes no shit.  What else would make a better interview!!  Give a listen and maybe you can understand why I am who I am...whether you think it's good or bad!!  I love you Mama!!!!

In this episode I wanted to focus on a boss bit*h, so I went to one I knew.  My friend Darcy is CEO and founder of a fitness studio called Higher Ground Fitness.  She's also a mom, a wife, a step mom and SO many other things.  I wanted to know how she juggles it all, and how she got where she is.  She had so many levels I couldn't stop digging deeper.  Listen to be inspired, amazed and thoroughly entertained!!!!  

Black and Yellow together again!!  With all the Anti Asian hate going on I reached out to a long time friend to get his thoughts and feelings about everything.   I wanted to see how much race has played a part in his life.  What has he dealt with?? What has he had to overcome? Is there a difference in Asian racism vs Black racism??  I was surprised at our different experiences.  We also delve into him being adopted by white parents and what that was like growing up.  My boy has a beautiful story and I'm honored he let me help him tell it.  Take a listen, you'll be entertained and surprised!!!! 

Parenting amirite...so this is our parenting journey.  We're talking about my wife's pregnancy and all the fun that it entailed.  We also reflect on being parents for a year, and keeping this kid alive!!  We'll give you the ups, downs and how we truly felt through all of it.  Whether you're a parent or not this will certainly entertain you.  Plus...my wife is here with me, who doesn't love that!!! 

Here's a quick look back on a crazy year!! I touch on all the hot button topics that consumed us last year.  Also what went on with me personally.  I added some content that I think was pertinent to the year!  It may be 2021 but 2020 still need my opinion.  Better late then never. Let's gooooo!!
