    Evening Edition: More Countries Join Ban On DeepSeek App

    South Korea has become the latest country to decide to ban the DeepSeek app from app stores over privacy issues. Regulators in Italy did the same not long ago and both countries say they have found evidence that DeepSeek was sharing users personal information. The Chinese app shocked the tech world announcing the new AI was exponentially cheaper to develop than U.S. developed AI, setting off a nearly trillion dollar sell off of technology stocks in the markets. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Eric Eggers, with the Government Accountability Institute, who says DeepSeek is based in falsehoods from their promise to keep personal information secure to the cost of development.     DOGE Audits The IRS

    President Trump praised Elon Musk & his DOGE team on their efforts to cut wasteful spending within the federal government, saying about Musk, “He’s a leader; he gets it done.” The IRS is the latest agency dealing with proposed cuts to staff, following DOGE officials exploring government waste in the Education and Defense departments. The President acknowledged Congress will have to play a role in these budget decisions too. Missouri Congressman Jason Smith joins the Rundown to explain why he shares the President’s enthusiasm for DOGE clawing back waste, fraud, and abuse. Today marks one month since President Donald Trump took office and since returning to the White House, he has made fighting illegal immigration one of his top priorities. While the administration is looking to deport illegal migrants from the US, there is also a push to not let them in. Border crossings are on pace to be the lowest in the last 25 years, with January 2025 seeing the lowest number of crossings in four years. President of the National Border Patrol Council Paul Perez joins to explain why we are seeing this trend and share what it's like to work at the border.     President Trump took some jabs at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenkskyy calling him a 'dictator' who 'played Biden like a fiddle', and basically blamed Ukraine for the war. Jason Crow (D-CO), represents Colorado’s 6th Congressional District and is ranking Democrat of the Intelligence and Special Operations Subcommittee, who says Ukraine needs to immediately be a part of negotiations and European countries must help to secure the region.     China's Subtle "Infiltration" Of America

    Foreign policy was a major pain point during the 2024 presidential campaign and one thing that could be agreed upon was the global threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has written a book, "Seven Things You Can’t Say About China" where he aims to give an honest, unflinching look at the threats posed by China. Sen. Cotton joined the Rundown to break down how China became America’s most dangerous enemy, the subtle ways China has infiltrated the United States, and how we must respond as a nation. The avian flu is causing massive price increases in the egg industry, with some farms being forced to cull their entire flock to avoid further spread of the disease. The rising costs have been seen in supermarkets across the country, with the average price for a dozen eggs sitting around five dollars. These high prices have trickled down to restaurants too, with many increasing menu prices to keep pace with the climbing egg fares. Chief Operations Officer of Green Eggs Cafe Stephen Slaughter joins the Rundown to discuss the rise in cost for his company, what he has been hearing from his egg distributors, and the challenges that have faced the industry in the last five years.     Evening Edition: Trump Administration Faces Backlash From Firing Hundreds Of FAA Employees

    Hundreds of employees at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have been laid off despite rising concerns about understaffing, air traffic safety and a pair of high profile plane crashes. The administration says those fired were still in their probationary period and the cuts are part of the attempt to rein in federal spending. The National Air Traffic Controllers Association, which represents nearly twenty thousand workers, and lawmakers are expressing their concerns over the firings. FOX’s Tonya J.     The Push To End The Ukraine War

    Last week, President Donald Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who agreed to begin high-level talks in Saudi Arabia to begin discussing a possible end to Russia's war on Ukraine. On Monday, several European countries called an emergency meeting in Paris to forge their own strategy. Former United States Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations and Former US Ambassador to NATO, Kurt Volker, joins to preview today's talks, explain why Ukraine isn't directly involved, and share the concerns of the European allies. The Department of Government Efficiency (known as DOGE) is turning its attention to the Pentagon this week. President Trump said he expects Musk’s DOGE to find billions of dollars of fraud and waste within the Pentagon. While Democratic and Republican lawmakers disagree on much, there is bipartisan consensus that major inefficiencies exist within our defense spending.     An Israeli drone strike killed the head of Hamas' military operations in Southern Lebanon.
