    The GOP's Big Plans To Shrink Government

    DOGE, or the Department of Government Efficiency, slated to be run by Trump allies Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, has begun making waves through Washington. Musk and Ramaswamy have already begun putting out preliminary plans for how they might tighten up federal spending to slash the deficit. Even those not known to be fans of the Trump administration, like Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), are conceding that this new department could be a step in the right direction. Congressman Aaron Bean (R-FL) joins the Rundown to explain why he and other Americans are excited for DOGE to get to work targeting government inefficiencies and wasteful spending. President-elect Trump has announced intentions to appoint former WWE CEO Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education. McMahon previously served on the Connecticut State Board of Education for two years before resigning to run for the Senate, a bid she attempted unsuccessfully twice. Wall Street Journal education reporter Matt Barnum joins to explore what the Department of Education could look like under President Trump, as well as the GOP's plan to transfer power back to the states.     Evening Edition: Chinese Spies Target Houston Citizens

    Both Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the FBI in Houston have issued warnings that Chinese spies are harassing Chinese citizens that are critical of the Chinese Communist Party. The warnings involve the presence of a Chinese "police service station", basically a spy house, who's agents intimidate, physically hurt and kidnap Chinese citizens who have escaped from China. Along with the warnings, Gov. Abbott has issued an executive order for Texas State Police to immediately start making arrests. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Jake Gibson, FOX News Washington D.C. producer, who says this is happening everyday, in multiple cities.     Incoming Border Czar Talks Deportation

    President-elect Trump promised on the campaign trail that he would secure the border, reinstating policies from his first administration while implementing mass deportations for illegal immigrants in the country. His new administration will bring in a familiar face to handle this, as the former acting Director of ICE during the first Trump administration, Tom Homan, has been named the new "Border Czar." Former Acting Director of ICE Tom Homan joins the Rundown to discuss the policies the new administration will look to implement, explain how the policies will curb illegal immigration, and what his new position will entail. The war in Ukraine has surpassed one thousand days, and the United States has only just begun allowing Ukraine to use long-range American-made missiles inside Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened nuclear consequences once again, prompting some concern from the West. Retired 4-star general, Chairman of the Institute for the Study of War, and FOX News Senior Strategic Analyst General Jack Keane joins the podcast to break down what this missile development means for the conflict and America's adversaries moving forward.     The selection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services in the new Trump cabinet has stirred up old controversies revolving around RFK's positions on health. He has a record of expressing distrust in everything from vaccines to fluoride, even the FDA itself. He is certain to face a tough confirmation battle, where he is likely to focus on America’s issues with chronic health while facing contentious questions about his ideas at odds with the greater medical community.
