    In this episode, hosts George and Bentley are joined by a special guest - Arriva Rail London’s Managing Director, Steve Best. With over 11 years at ARL, Steve shares insights into his career journey, leadership priorities, and what’s ahead as the company approaches the end of its current concession.  The conversation covers key topics including safety on the network, the rollout of body-worn cameras, and ongoing challenges with the Mildmay line. Steve also highlights plans for improving station facilities and ensuring a smooth transition to the next concession, all while maintaining ARL’s commitment to delivering “brilliant basics”—a safe, clean, and reliable service for customers.  He also reflects on his proudest moments so far, including the Shining Stars recognition event, and reminds listeners that ARL’s strength lies in its people.
