So you want to legally buy a gun.
Can you legally buy a gun if you are mentally ill? No. Very sorry. It’s not going to be possible. One gun salesman suggests trying Arizona. He informs us that you can, however, buy ammo. Does that help?
Dr. Ross really needs this gun. He fears for his life. Sure, the fears are probably irrational, but having a gun would make him feel better. But, it isn’t in the cards for him. He is, after all, not only the Doctor and Superintendent of Psych Ward. He’s also the Patient.
You don’t have to own a beaver to get some help from Dr Ross, but it could help.
Meet Dr. Sonja:
Dr Ross hires Nurse Sonja, who suffers from Major General Depression and Hypersomnia, as his co-host. He feels pretty good about all the medications she has been taking.
Caller one: “Sir”. That’s his name. “Sir”. He wasn’t very helpful, and Dr. Ross doesn’t appreciate it.
Caller two: some guy at a gun shop in Alabama. More helpful, but not helpful.
Caller three: Jennifer Fuqua calls in. She’s bipolar. She doesn’t own a firearm. She probably should, but she can’t. Mainly because she’s bipolar.
