Caroline Bouin - Laboratoires Expanscience (English version): How can we take care of those we love if we don't take care of the planet?
In today’s episode, we are pleased to receive Caroline Bouin, Head of Impact Experimentation at Expanscience, on behalf of the Mustela brand.
Caroline shares her experience and expertise with us and tells us about the concrete actions taken by Mustela in two main areas:
Reduce the company’s ecological footprint.
Indeed, the cosmetics industry still has a long way to go to meet climate challenges.
Maintain a high level of quality.
Since Mustela products are mainly used for babies and/or sensitive skin.
It is therefore imperative to remain above reproach on this criterion, which makes the mark famous today.
During her professional career, mainly abroad, Caroline held several posts and even started her own business.
But it is by becoming a mother that Caroline becomes aware of the importance of health and the impact of our everyday actions and the products we use.
“How can we take care of those you love if we don’t take care of the planet?”
She then joined Laboratoires Expanscience, more specifically the Mustela brand, in order to combine her personal convictions with her professional daily life.
Her objective?
Conduct experimental projects to address current climate challenges.
It is during one of these innovative projects that Mustela will partner with four other major pharmaceutical names to develop the first bulk supply in pharmacies.
A new model is adopted: co-opetition, a middle ground between cooperation and competition.
This exchange allows us to better understand how a major brand can become an important player in change through impact projects by maintaining its pioneering role in skin welfare.
Join us in this inspiring On The Way episode on all listening platforms and also on the BNP Paribas Personal Finance website.
Good immersion!
