This isn’t a podcast that discusses plots or whether Wombat Man can beat up the Green Aardvark. Before this show I didn’t understand the coloring process, or what French curves were, or how cross hatching works. If this is your jam, this is the only game in town.

One part nostalgia mixed with two parts hardcore analysis. If you remember watching Julia Child cooking with the overhead camera directly pointed at the simmering pot on the stove you will love it. The interviews are great ( they do let the guests wander a bit much with self serving bloviation ). Get on this train before Jim and Ed become the next Siskel & Ebert.

No geek talk, just real stuff

The podcast is unlistenable. Half of each episode is them doing promos, as if the people listening aren’t already buying them comics and need a daily reminder. The manner in which listeners are bombarded with constant repeated promos is beyond obnoxious. I supported their work but not only am I unsubscribing from this podcast I am canceling my preorders for their books. “Paying the bills” directly led to me NOT supporting them, so maybe they should consider that when absolutely destroying a mood with their horrific commercialism. Cannot listen. These guys are beyond clueless.
