Plotline and Purpose

Paul continues to address the question, “Did God fail?” Paul moves through the Old Testament in this passage and shows us how God has used His mercy and people’s rebellion to move toward His purpose of fulfilling all His promises. Paul uses this history to not only explain how God has worked, but also to call the readers to respond. Where are you in the plotline of God’s purpose?

Family Matters
Family really matters! The first century people thought in collective terms of family, tribe, and nation. In Romans 9, Paul begins to trace the family tree and show how God has worked through His chosen family from the beginning of time. God has not failed! He continues to give His family an identity, promises, and the purpose of Jesus Christ. Will we find our place in the family?
