First, Liz starts the episode off by telling the story of the murder of local basketball star Markus Austin, who was shot and killed following a fight in Brattleboro, Vermont in 2017. Then, Katie tells the story of the mysterious disappearance of Vietnamese immigrant John Bui Tran, who simply vanished after a party in Randolph, Massachusetts in 2004.
