    Join Katie and Liz on another installment of their case profiles mini-episode series. Today, Katie starts by sharing the terribly brutal murder of Angela Jones out of Worcester, Massachusetts in 1989. She was stabbed multiple times before being discarded outside of a factory. Then, Liz tells the story of the senseless shooting murder of Terrance Driffin-Smith, who was walking to his girlfriend's house in New Haven, Connecticut when he was shot in a drive-by. Both cases remain unsolved. Anyone with any information on the murder of Angela Jones is asked to please call the Worcester Police Department at 508-799-8651.     Episode 167: The Murder of Louise Chaput

    On this week’s episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz talk about the murder of Canadian tourist, Louise Chaput, in November of 2001. Louise traveled to Pinkham Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, as she was an avid hiker who loved the outdoors and being active. On this solo trip, Louise arrived at her destination just before it began to get dark outside, and feeling like she needed exercise from driving all day, opted to go for a short hike before checking into her hotel. This would tragically prove to be fatal, as almost a week later, Louise was found murdered. Over 23 years later, her death remains unsolved. In the late 1980s, the paranormal investigative pair were called into the Southington, Connecticut home of the Snedeker’s, who had been experiencing some hauntingly creepy happenings. The oldest son, Philip, even had a complete personality change and had become violent, and this was blamed entirely on the demonic possession of the home itself after he began seeing spirits and having disturbing experiences and nightmares. Today, the girl’s talk about the terrible stabbing death of college student Sharon Gregory out of Greenfield, Massachusetts. Sharon had been discovered by her twin sister, who immediately was able to point the investigation in the correct direction: towards a local outcast who had an obsession for horror movies and horror villains, Mark Branch. Sharon’s killer donned a mask similar to Jason Voorhees’ before stabbing her multiple times; a desire he had and had mentioned to several people on multiple occasions.     Episode 164: The Belchertown State School

    Join Katie and Liz on this week’s special Halloween episode of True Crime New England as they venture into the history of Massachusetts' Belchertown State School. From the years of 1918-1992, this institution, beginning with the intent of reforming those with intellectual and physical disabilities and reintegrating them into society, steadily practiced neglect and mistreatment of nearly 1000 residents at a time. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that reports would come detailing the squalor, lack of staffing, and abuse these residents faced. Tune in to hear the disturbing and haunting facts surrounding the lives of those who lived at the Belchertown State School, and about several who have died there.     Episode 163: The Cursed Brunswick Springs

    On this week’s second special Halloween episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz take a trip to the “Northeastern Kingdom” of Vermont, where the legendary Brunswick Springs resides. Rumored to be the home of waters with healing powers in Abenaki legend, the tales from the springs date all the way back to the 1740’s. A greedy soldier who was healed by the waters decided to bottle it and sell it, and when that led to conflict that escalated to violence, a shaman’s child was killed. Legend has it that in her grief and despair, the Brunswick Springs were forever cursed.
