Maura was a 21 year old student in February of 2004 when she inexplicably drove three hours from her dorm in Amherst, Massachusetts to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and vanished. At around 7:30pm her vehicle was involved in a single car, non life threatening accident at a hairpin turn on dark & desolate Route 112. She has not been seen or heard from since. Now two filmmakers set out to find answers on this mystery by diving deep into Maura's life, the region in which she went missing, and the online world of citizen detectives. Season 1 is about the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist: In the early hours of March 18th, 1990, two thieves posing as police officers were admitted into the Gardner Museum in Boston. In 81 minutes they stole 13 pieces of artwork, among the paintings stripped from their frames were works by Vermeer, Degas, and Rembrandt. Season 2 tackles other angles of art crime. I just listened to this episode and got to wondering how many counties in this country is corrupt like this county, and Horry County in South Carolina??? How many crimes have been covered up in the past? Episode was excellent, I will have to add Dog with a Bone to my list of podcasts to listen to. It will put me that much farther behind in keeping up with all your episodes. But great interview.

I appreciate the in depth research of the cases, and the hosts discuss them in a very respectful manner- taking into account the feelings of the victims and their families. Also, they cover a vast range of cases from recent to really old cold cases, which keeps it very interesting and doesn’t let people be forgotten.
