Church & Culture Podcast
The Church & Culture podcast is a weekly discussion with Dr. James Emery White on the latest trends happening in culture, and where and how the church should respond. While this podcast reflects on the church's part in what may be going on in the world, it is very much a show that anyone, no matter what walk of life you may have come from or are currently in, can glean useful information. Some episodes may be an extended conversation based off one of Dr. White's bi-weekly blog posts, as he does not shy away from the controversial hot topics. So to be ready for full context, be sure to subscribe to the Church & Culture Blog at ChurchandCulture.org.

Thinking Christian-ly

Understanding the signs of the times…and knowing with wisdom what to do. This podcast is so helpful for helping me cultivate correct orthodoxy. The culture challenges Christians on all sides - thinking correctly is not easy any more, and issues change lighting fast…it takes work to keep up - listen here for help. My life turned around in the late 1990’s precisely because I started listening to Dr. White & Meck Community Church. You can get the same accurate instruction on this podcast.
It’s Not Whether but Which. Xn Nationalism of what?

Christian Nationalism straw man.You do not deal with any of the serious arguments, just created a punching bag. So tell me if we do not base are laws on God’s law which of men’s reasons and morality should we base our laws on? God doesn’t care about that? have you read Psalm two? If a civil magistrate becomes a Christian he comes to you as a pastor and says how should I now govern? Are you going to say sorry that’s Christian nationalism I don’t have anything to tell you? Definition is Christianized will not the laws reflect that? You told a lot of history, but what about the great awakening in England that preceded the abolition of slavery and the reformation of morals in British society? Can the government legislate morality? All legislation is morality. It’s not weather but which. So yes, we can’t make people Christians by making the laws conform to gods law.But there are an awful lot of Christians in this country. And rather than having Wolk nonsense poured into every law and jammed down our throats we want the laws to reflect the general equity of God‘s law. if we can dedicate our family to God, our church to God and there is a sufficient number of Christians in society, we can dedicate our city, county, state, and one day our nation to God. Doesn’t it already say that on the money? In thr pledge? Where did that come from. I agree that we have to be salt and light, but you seem to think that that is not going to have an effect that would lead to impact civil society, civil laws, and cultural institutions. Should we not be working for that as we evangelize the nations and teach them to obey everything Christ commanded? does Christ not have commands for civil magistrates, or for the definition of justice and righteousness? this is why what you were saying seems to be simply a strawman.
Awesome!

As a pastor it’s difficult to find reputable sources that tackle cultural issues from a Christian perspective. Having already enjoyed the blog, this is such a great addition. Thank you!!
