We have the lenses to do that better photography. Hire someone because of the quality you can see it and the quality is going to sell you.” During this crisis, what have you learned and how did it change your business? 13:05 “I learned that my clients love me and I appreciate that. I read a lot of blogs. So, I tried to change some things on my website. If you work with your clients that way, they become like friends. Big companies can pay millions of dollars to big events like Superbowl to get the audience’s attention for a limited time, and small businesses does not have the budget for that. You can do it now, virtually, in social media. We focus on the success of our clients from working with us and it tells a powerful story.” What advice can you give to business owners who are looking to start in insurance industry? 10:59 “Most people shop online and you need to be careful on what you put out there. Promote the people who promotes your brand because through their beliefs in you, they will provide good reviews and share it to other people. And that is unbelievably powerful. We focus on what they want, and we funnel our options from there that fits on their criteria. Episode Timeline: The importance of website and social media 5:06 “My website and social media are something that is of extreme importance. Especially with the pandemic, everything is now virtual. Meeting the clients, visitors and you want them to engage on the images and be inspired from it. The consistency of social media is crucial too. You need to be consistent across the board and your website should mirror your social media platforms.” Advice for Business Owners working at home 07:05 “I liked to provide experience to my clients through a zoom meeting, a phone call, or a content conversation that would make them feel connected to the service that I am providing. I want to engage myself to my clients more specially with the pandemic at this point in time. I always go with the factor to like, know and trust someone. Although it can be trial and error, I feel like when you engaged yourself to them, it is a win.” 09:25 “It’s definitely based on creating your own oasis. I believe that your stress depends on the energy you fed into it. You want to feel the look and comfort in your oasis despite of the chaos that surrounds you. And this is something that Rathell designs is heading towards. Creating a mood and vide that feels like a vacation or a getaway, right at your home.” What did you learn during the development of your company? 11:12 “I learned to take a step back and not overwork myself and avoid putting too much thought into mundane trivialities. The pandemic alone already gave us a huge delay and it is something that gave everyone a reality check. I can say that my company is fortunate and we never forget what is going on around us.” What is one thing that you purchase during Quarantine that you are thankful for? 13:49 “One thing that I am thankful for is the newest venture of our company, in Home Décor Line. It is an opportunity that I invested myself in and have been always wanted to do aside from Interior Designing. It is a new adventure and I am very fortunate to be able to provide that to the people.” What tool does the people in your company, use every day? 14:47 “We are using HubSpot and it allowed us to connect and engage with our clients. It is something that we use in a daily basis and also used to monitor our previous, ongoing and future projects. My clients are the ones that dictate the style that we need to follow in every project. My training as an architect allows me to have the background of being able to manage all the types of styles. We as architects have to be able to manage all of them and we determine style according to the client’s wishes.” Challenges during transition 4:46 “Definitely, there’s a huge difference between practicing architecture in Columbia and in States. In Columbia as an architect, I’m trying to construct, to build a design to everything. In the states, we are licensed to practice architecture and interior design. Well challenges, I say that not much in terms of that since we have a background in construction.” Does Sandra take the construction side as well or she doesn’t do that? 6:41 “I’m fortunate to have a sister company that provides and is licensed and insured to do construction.” 7:23 “Whenever a client brings another contractor, we are more than open to provide. So, we’re very flexible with that.” How Sandra’s services are divided between renovation, new construction, and everything going on in the company 7:56 “I have a soft heart for renovation because I think a lot of magic happens there. We are able to do construction as well. Construction is another type of animal.
