    Episode 13. Jenni Nellist - Clinical Animal Behaviourist

    This Episode I speak with Clinical Animal Behaviourist, Jenni Nellist. Based in South Wales UK, Jenni is a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist as well as an Animal Behaviour and Training Council, Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist for Horses. (These are seperate accreditations and registrations, opperated by seperate governing bodies in the UK.) To acheive these accreditations Jenni has demonstrated a strong level of academic achievement, coupled with passing practical assessments of her clinical skills. Jenni chose the route to becoming a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, as this was most closely aligned with her values, enabling her to put her main driving passion first and foermost - the mental wellness of horses. Jenni's focus on prioritising the horse's experience, ensures welfare is a constant focus in her work, while her ethos of promoting a strong horse-human bond, enables her to create a safe space for horse and human to be together.     Episode 12. Kate Blackmore - Equischolars

    This episode I speak with Kate Blackmore from Equischolars. Kate is an Equine Behaviour consultant and trainer, based in the UK.  Equischolars is a unique, activities based learning system, which is available internationally and designed to be suitable for any equestrian establishement to impliment; regardless of size or facilities.  Providers join the Equischolars membership platform, through which they receive access to the modular based system of activities and theory, enabling them to provide fun and interactive education for children and young adults.     Episode 7. The NAC - Alex Le Grand and Aliyah Woodland

    Welcome to Change of Tack, the Podcast that brings you Welfare informed professsionals from throughout the Equestrian industry. Thie episode I speak with Alex LeGrande and Aliyah Woodland from the NAC. the NAC offer online education for animal owners and professionals including thier multi-accredited Diploma in Equine Training and Coaching, which on completion provides a pathway to registration with the Animal Beahviour and Training Council as an Equine Training Instructor. The NAC will also be offering in-person training from Spring 2025, covering a variety of topics including animal behaviour, welfare and training as well as courses in land management, saddle fitting and bodywork. Alex Le Grand is an Equine Behaviour Consultant certified with the IAABC and a registered, accredited Animal Behaviourist and Animal Trianing Instructor with the ABTC. Alex is also a certified, Advanced Saddle Fitter, Educator and Assessor with the IASF. Aliyah Woodland is a Positive Reinforcement Animal Training Instructor registered with the ABTC and head tutor at the NAC.   Aliyah was my guest in Episode 1, where she spoke in detail about her business; Equine Thoughts.
