Nostalgic

Interesting bit of 80s creature thriller nostalgia. Only complaint I had was that I had a hard time telling the adult male chars apart at times. Still a good story. Well done all!
A very conflicted review

I made it halfway through Season 1 and I’m getting whiplash from swinging back and forth from “This show is unbelievably bad” to “This is a passably solid parody of an 80s crime drama” to “The junior high class that produced this undoubtedly got A’s”. Voice acting? So bad it seems intentional. Writing? Same as the voice work. Storyline? Cliched, but so unabashedly and unhurriedly it makes you keep listening, confidently expecting its redemption. Sort of like when a kinda slow friend tells a super drawn out joke and you listen partially irritated but also partially hopeful it’ll actually be genuinely funny. Yeah it’s like that.
Unfortunate

The story is completely lost in the awful combo of bad dialog and worse voice acting.
Filled With Unrealistic Situations

I hate shows (and writers) that don’t take the time to do their homework and get their facts straight. For example, in an early episode, a character gets on the P.A. system and sounds a Code Red alarm for something that escaped from their laboratory. The “code” system is pretty standardized, and a Code Red signifies a fire! That’s just one of many details that should never have made it into these episodes. As a result, the believability factor drops way down. The other big problem is the producers cast at least one girl to play a boy in the cast, and it’s painfully obvious, and it doesn’t work. It’s beyond cringe. Oakbridge needs better writers with better stories, an in-house Fact Checker, and the correct gender actors playing the characters. I can’t believe it’s been picked up for a second season.
