Nina Kimberly The Merciless

When I started listening to this, I thought I was just listening to light fantasy comedy. But as I kept listening, without being aware of it, the story grew on me, so that, by the end, I was really attached to some of the characters (and hope the author will write more stories featuring them). I'm *very* impressed with the range of different voices the author used to portray all her characters. I don't think I could perform so many distinct voices. Apparently the author reworked this story, removing most or all of the sound effects. I don't expect to listen to the newer version, because I like the sound effects.
