“Sparkle” is one’s happiness, passion, and self-worth. It is the fiery light within us all. I have always believed that everyone has a Sparkle that fuels who they are, but in moments of life, that Sparkle can be dimmed. For a long time, running was my Sparkle. But as I reached the NCAA Division 1 level, and in the wake of experiencing sexual violence, I felt the devastating loss of my Sparkle. I walked away from the sport for years, something that is not uncommon in the world of women's sports. Sparkle On With Devi Jags is not just a podcast. It is a movement bigger than sports, politics, and maybe even women themselves (however controversial that sounds).
