Charles Peruto In Justice

    • Society & Culture

In Justice, a limited podcast series hosted and produced by Lisa Spees and Spencer Daniels. Coming to your favorite pod-catcher this Autumn. Before the release of our first episode, here is a taste of what you can expect.
A Charles Peruto was a young defense attorney in Philadelphia where he was known to have mafia types and drug dealers as clients. In 1987, Mr Peruto conducted a taped interview with a young man who confessed to a murder. That murder would go unsolved for two years until that young man pointed to two other men as the perpetrators of the crime. Mr Peruto was called to testify for the defense and provide the tape, but claimed to have lost it sending two innocent men to prison.
We spoke with him ahead of the November 2 election in Philadelphia
