Love the show. Find it very fulfilling.

I would like to suggest a show or two separate shows first covering the movie “After Life” from 1998 by Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda. What a fantastic film it is.

Then cover the movie “Nine Days” by Edson Oda who said he was inspired by After Life when writing it. Both films hit me like a ton of bricks so I’d love to hear your views of them.

WORTHWHILE

The hosts are thoughtful film critics. They’re always attempting to bring a new insight to the film they’re discussing. I appreciate their focus on fostering film appreciation vs shocking the audience or relying on gimmicks. I also appreciate that it’s a clean film podcast as I can share it with my niece and nephews.

I would appreciate more structure to the conversation as sometimes it meanders. But just like the films they discuss this podcast is worth engaging with.
