Send us a text

Today on the UnsCripted podcast, Rachel and Alex sit down with Dr. Amy Mechley to discuss how to talk to patients about lifestyle medicine and how to discuss help promotion with patients. Dr. Mechley is Family & Integrative Medicine physician who has practiced in Cincinnati for 20 years. She received training in Mind Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School and additional certification in Cardiac Wellness at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is the first physician in the Cincinnati area to be board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine and has been annually awarded local “Best Doctor” since 2010.

This episode covers several important topics, such as talking to patients about their obesity, connecting with patients with techniques like reflective listening, and positively motivating patients to make tailored lifestyle changes. Dr. Mechley also dispels a few common myths and misconceptions about diet and nutrition that even health providers sometimes miss. We hope you find this episode to be a well-balanced “treat”.
