Sound familiar?

    Courageous Parenting

    Courageous Parenting

Sometimes, growth is scary. It's not exactly a hot take, right? But if you look around, most of the teachings on parenting and personal growth paint a rosy picture of the beautiful results and incredible transformations that await us on the other side of implementing these tools and gloss over the fact that this sh*t is hard and a little scary. Instead of looking at that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, in this week's episode of the podcast, I talk about how it ain't no rainbow. Listen to hear:

♦ What it REALLY takes to make these changes,
♦ How to tap into courage so you can do what it takes,
♦ Something super simple that I myself am still too scared to do,
♦ How to get over the fear and discomfort so you actually can get to that pot of gold!

This is just one example of the myriad of challenges getting in the way of growth that I help my clients solve. Set up a free call with me today! I'll learn all about your family and goals, show you how to get there, and help you find the courage to take the leap and finally get help to make it happen. https://calendly.com/annkaplan/discoverycall or visit my website at https://www.annkaplanparentcoach.com/

    Losing Your Audience

    Losing Your Audience

How well do you LISTEN to your child? You know that moment when you realize your kid is SO not listening to you? In fact, they are actively refusing to absorb a damn thing you say...fidgeting, rolling their eyes, or straight-up fighting you? My husband calls this “losing your audience.” You can talk all you want, but your words are falling on deaf ears.

In this week’s episode, I tell you:
♦ Why listening is the best way to keep your audience
♦ What to do when you lose your audience
♦ How we can lose our audience even if we are doing everything right

Here’s a weird truth: Kids usually stop listening when they stop feeling heard. We lose our audience because we have become terrible audiences ourselves!

How about you? Do you know when you’ve lost your audience? Can your communication skills stop you from losing them? Are you a good audience for your child?

The Words That Work Workshop will teach you good listening skills and so much more. If talking with your child leaves you thinking:

    ♦ Why won’t they listen?
♦ I just want them to understand!
♦ What’s going on in that head of theirs?
♦ I’m only trying to help!
♦ How can I get them to open up?
You need to be with me in this workshop. Learn more about it here, and register ASAP: https://www.annkaplanparentcoach.com/wordsthatwork

Kollbahn ,

Ann and her work is a game changer!!

I am so grateful for this podcast as each episode regardless of the topic reminds me that if I have an "agenda" or want my kids/husband or anyone for that matter to change in order for me to feel okay...GOOD LUCK and to get to work on ME with journaling, mediation, unpacking feelings and much more. Thanks Ann!

Her humor softens the blow

This parenting coach has struck a good balance between entertainer and educator. Her lessons are universal for any care-giver, but they’re also very personal with anecdotes about her kids and her clients’, as well as her own childhood. Be prepared to learn that you’re messing things up, and that doing things right is actually really different from what you’re doing. It’s hard, but Ann will deliver this information in a warm embrace, welcoming you into her circle of moms and dads just doing the best we can.

Parenting Wisdom In Digestible Form

Each episode is a nugget of wisdom that you can listen to in the car after dropping the kids off at school or practice. Ann gets it because she lives it. No condescension, just real info on how to connect better with your kids.
