CoPilots - TV Writers Talk TV Pilots | Comedians, Actors, and Writers Reviewing TV Episodes

Knowing that it takes time for a podcast to find its rhythm, I listened to every single episode of CoPilots, and so I feel that I can confidently say that this show finds not just one, but many rhythms of varying bpm. Most of the rhythms are quite catchy, others have more of a free jazz variance, sometimes they overlap, but it’s definitely a podcast. The show is mostly well-produced (a few episodes sound like they’re recording in a Zoom cave), the hosts are entertaining enough on their own, but the guests tighten up the dynamic. They really put the “pooch” in Poochinski. Patriot gets all the love it deserves. Hopefully, at some point, they’ll cover the Mad About You pilot. Is this review too long? Secunda!

I just made it over here from TNC (She Did It Janeway) and my Andy fandom continues to grow. I love TV podcasts and I love Andy and if you listen to this witty and interesting podcast by “the dumbest TV writers you know,” you’ll be a fan as well! I didn’t know Sean Conroy before this. He sounds like Neil deGrasse Tyson, but if Neil deGrasse Tyson were an hilarious TV writer, rather than an astrophysicist. Anyway, if you’ve at all enjoyed the well-intentioned rambling of this review, this is DEFINITELY an ideal podcast for you!

I love TV and growing up in the 70’s and 80’s it was a constant for me. These guys really delve into the pilot episodes of many shows I am familiar with and a few that I somehow missed in a funny way that’s also informative since they also work in the business that they call “show.” If you enjoy watching (or rather listening) how the sausage is made, you’ll enjoy this podcast.

Coming from TNC I continue to be surprised at how baffled Andy is by the industry he’s spent his career in. Great show! 5 stars!
