Countdown to Infinity - LoadingReadyRun

I’m sure the others are fine, but do they have James and Matt? Or any other LRR certified talent? This one is best. This podcast is getting expensive, though. After Matt and James get so excited about these movies I find myself going out to buy them.

These 5 star reviews saying they’re the best are blowing my mind. I can rattle 3 better movie/countdown pods off the top of my head. These guys sound perfectly friendly and have a casual, relaxed tone... but here’s my problem. They don’t know the source material and BARELY know the movies they’re reviewing. I’m not one of those “omg you called it x and it’s really y” movie nerds. But they are routinely wrong in their reviews, referring to characters or major plot objects by the wrong name, or just being plain wrong as far as “oh ya I think that’s what happens”... no it didn’t, they can’t even get the plot facts correct in some episodes. My overall point is this, why would I spend an hour and a half listening to a podcast where I’m not going to learnt anything remotely insightful or different beyond the very basic outlines of the movie that I could read on a million different “plot summary” sites. The amount of times they admit “I don’t know/I can’t remember/I didn’t look it up” is pathetic. The point of a review show like this is to have the hosts know MORE than you and point out things you didn’t know or fun/interesting back stories about the plot/characters/Easter eggs/ etc. I know I sound like a jerk, but these guys just flat out don’t know anything about these movies, save yourself an hour and a half by reading the Wikipedia summary. Or just watch the movie and you’ll literally know exactly as much or more than these guys.
