Couples in Farming: Monica Ponce and Russell Honderd

This week, hear the second part of our mini-series about couples who farm together. As Matthew looked for opportunities to discuss balancing hard work and affection, he knew Monica Ponce and Russell Honderd would have a lot to say, given that they have farmed together on the isolated Cumberland Island. Monica shares how they met and why she was surprised to end up with a fellow farmer, and Russell explains how they have come to divide their chores and responsibilities. They also talk about the job’s biggest rewards and share their plans for building a worker cooperative at Love is Love Farm.
