Knifepoint Horror

This is the best horror podcast. Period. Soren’s narrative style and voice are smooth and soothing in direct contrast to the subject matter which is rich and thought provoking. These episodes often leave you with questions and tempt to you a second listen in which dark truths are drawn out. Topics span across all genres and from time to time, there are guest narrators. Some of these stories hit so effectively that when recalling them, you may believe you dreamed them. A macabre delight.

I love this podcast for its slow developing eeriness and sense of foreboding, those heart pounding moments, and for its elegant simplicity. A huge factor for me is that Knifepoint is completely commercial-free! And no fluff in the beginning, just, “My name is…” and you’re in it! Commercials, especially in the middle of a spooky story, really kill it for me. I also don’t want abrupt scares, gratuitous descriptors of gore, or jarring sounds in my horrors podcasts. With Knifepoint, I prefer the most parred down episodes, with the single narrator and minimal sound effects, more than the ones with alternating dialogue and less-linear stories. But they’re all worth a listen!

I’ve been listening to Knife Point Horror for 5 or 6 years now. Multiple times I’ve gone back to the first episode and listened all the way through to the most current. I love these stories. I wish the episodes came out more frequently but I know it takes time to create work this good. Thank you Sorin and I hope the stories keep coming!
