Creating Mental Health Awareness & Community Connection Uncorked with Funny Wine Girl

    • Society & Culture

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that 57.8 million adults live with some form of mental illness. Now add family members and friends to those numbers and basically we are all impacted in one way or another. And...mental health IS part of our overall health so it is something we all need to pay attention to.

My returning guest this week is Nina Judge, founder of the John Malvizzi Foundation who is hosting a Free Mental Wellness Fair on May 4th in NEPA to provide the community an opportunity to connect, learn about available resources, raise awareness around mental health and practice some self-care with laughter yoga and a comedy show that is all FREE!

Even if you live outside of NEPA, you can benefit from this conversation about mental wellness and the opportunity we all have to do our part. Learn about becoming certified in Mental Health First Aid here.

This podcast is sponsored by Budget Through Life. If you're interested in one-on-one personal finance coaching or group classes for your school or organization, check out informative and fun videos by founder Emily Hickox on YoutTube. And follow Budget Through Life on Facebook and Instagram.
