Crisis in America PTSD and Veteran Suicide

We are bringing awarness to the current crisis of 22 Veterans and First Responders who die from suicide every day. There is hope on the horizon for people with PTSD that have dual diagnosis of addiction and PTSD. Spiritul based programs are offering a increased sucess rate. Col. Mike Brown and Deputy Sean Flynn are the host of this new podcast in an effort to bring awarness and information.

    Host: Sean Flynn  Sean Eugene Flynn is a Former Deputy Sheriff for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and School Resource Officer for the Palm Beach County School District. Sean continues to serve the citizens of South Florida as the Vice President of Cops Helping Kids Inc. ( non-profit organization), as an athletic coach and volunteer helping first responders, civilian adults, and children who have difficulties recovering from PTSD in conjunction with the other mental health conditions that can result from various difficult life experiences.     Co-host Col Mike Brown Col Brown served as the Commander of the Defense Contract Management Agency in Tewksbury, Massachusetts form 2013-2015. He led the largest in plant agency in DCMA consisting of more than 4000 personnel, spanning 7 states in the New England Region with contract value of 46.B dollars for all Services.  Managed 17 major defense programs including programs from all the Services and MDA including Patriot, DDG 1000, FAB-T, SMART-T, IAMD, UEWR, AEGIS, and JLENS.   Col Brown has been a Hospice Volunteer at the Department of Veteran’s Affair in Maryland. He has taken suicide hotline phone calls and numerous times was able to get help to distress veterans. Col Brown over the years has been a guest speaker at charity events in support of veteran causes.    To Reach Col.     Caregivers:  SARAH VERARDO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR   Sarah and Mike Verardo have become a national face for severely wounded combat Veterans and their Caregivers. They’ve appeared on numerous television programs and news outlets over the past several years to push for Veterans Affairs healthcare reform.    Sarah has dedicated her life to both the care and recovery of her husband, and supporting Caregivers and our wounded heroes nationwide.   She is a national spokesperson for Caregivers in the country, serving as an Alumni Fellow with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.  She also has a significant background in both public relations and fundraising, and is a respected national voice, regularly featured on conservative national programs and talk shows. She continues her service through The Independence Fund as a highly effective advocate for Veterans and Caregivers, working directly with members of the United States and Senate.     Kimberly Brown is a professional licensed chemical dependency counsellor III in the State of Ohio. Ms. Brown is also a National Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor.  Ms. Brown holds a Master’s of Science Degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. Ms. Brown has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors in providing direct clinical care for individuals who suffer from substance abuse.   Ms. Brown works primarily with adults and adolescents. She uses a variety of treatment modalities which incorporates best practices from Motivational Interviewing Techniques, Psycho-education, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solution Focus Therapy.  Ms. Brown believes in a strength based approach that is holistic in nature.    To Reach Col.
