Critical Ditto
Four friends with an unending passion for Pokemon want to take you on a journey quite unlike anything you've heard before...or they've heard before...as they are pretty much making it all up from scratch. Each week, Stew, Ali, David and Tom gather around to tell the story of Kenny, Theo and Brandi through the power of improv and dice rolls, as they set off on their very own Pokemon adventure, in a completely made up Pokemon region. There are battles, there are puns and, most importantly, there are adorable (and not so adorable) creatures. Episodes every other (Poké)Monday.

Technically they are playing a Pokémon table top game, but I listen because of the storytelling. These are four incredibly talented performers crafting a story together in real time, and it’s shocking how good that story is. You’ll have to listen to understand. It’s hilarious, exciting and fun. The care they put into post production is excellent so it is well paced and supported by music and sound effects for a richer listening experience. My one complaint is the levels are sometimes not very even so you have to keep a thumb on the volume to make sure you hear David without Tom blowing out your speakers, but I’m sure they’ll get a handle on that eventually and become the perfect ‘actual play podcast’. Great work gentleman.
Improv PKMN at its finest

The podcast is wonderful, and the way that the story is built is unlike any other podcast I can think of. Allowing the listeners to see the thought process in decisions made is a great way of bringing them into the story! The players and GM are all fun to listen to, and you can tell that they all love to play the game!
