Crystal Murray on 'STARMANIAK' - Channelling Feelings of Rage, Fear & Anger as a Woman

Singer-songwriter Crystal Murray joins Jamz to get between the lines on her song STARMANIAK. 

Taken from her debut album ‘Sad Lovers and Giants’, Crystal talks about how the song came about, from leaning into other genres of music, from punk to shoegaze, as well as the questions she asked herself around some of the hard-hitting metaphors in the lyrics. 

She and Jamz discuss finding safe spaces as a woman in 2024, about Black feminism, and regaining control and power.
