We explore its impact on strategic plans, the role of leaders in facilitating cultural agility, and the connection between cultural agility and the soul of business. Paula defines cultural agility as an individual's ability to comfortably and effectively work in different contexts and with people from different cultures. Cultural agility is a meta competency that can be developed through various sub-competencies such as tolerance for ambiguity, resilience, curiosity, humility, and relationship building. Soft skills, often referred to as 'squishy,' are actually hard skills that require effort and development. Cultural agility is crucial for effective leadership and influencing others.
