It Could Happen Here started as an exploration of the possibility of a new civil war. Now a daily show, it's evolved into a chronicle of collapse as it happens, and an exploration of how we might build a better future. Every day Robert Evans, Garrison Davis, Mia Wong, and James Stout take you on a jaunty walk through the burning ruins of the old world and towards a better one that lays just on the horizon.

Closeted Climate deniers?
29 janv.
Why is it, not a single episode covers anything remotely close to all world destroying stuff going on with fossil fuels? The closest thing was the Union Carbide episode (which was good) but not a single thing about PFAS, fracking, Transfer Partners? Y’all parents operate a refinery or something? Cmon. Just concentrate on identity politics? Go listen to Drilled.
Sad this show has fallen so far

I’ve been listening since the first episode in 2019. The 10/16/24 episode on UNIFIL was lacking in perspective and full of disinformation. Israel did not commit atrocities at Sabra and Shatilla, that was LEBANESE FALANGISTS. Nevermind that James (whom I hold in high regard) minimized why Israel invaded southern Lebanon in 1982 (to stop cross border infiltration that led to dozens of Israelis massacred. Also Shireen is a lazy plagarist.
Important perspectives

This show does a fantastic job of providing important and often unheard perspectives. Appreciate all their work! Love the recent episodes with Kaveh and the coffee labor unions.
Nothing but Controlled Opposition

This podcast is clearly sponsored, controlled opposition. It critiques the symptoms of collapse but protects the cause—capitalism
