    Embracing Your New Self

"If you keep trying to pour your new self into your old situations, something is going to burst."- Wesleyne Word of the Day No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins; and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.-Mark 2:22 Summary When you’re working on becoming a new version of yourself, it’s crucial to understand that trying to pour that new self into old situations just won’t work. Have you ever felt like you were making progress, only to find yourself slipping back into old habits or environments? If you keep going back to the same relationships or places that hold you back, all that hard work you’ve done on yourself can break. As you heal and grow, you deserve to be in new spaces, surrounded by new people who uplift you and understand your journey. So, I encourage you to embrace the new wine God has poured into you. Seek out those new environments and friendships that reflect the growth you’re experiencing. Remember, you’re not meant to go back; you’re meant to move forward. Takeaways - New growth requires new environments; old situations may hinder your progress. - Surround yourself with supportive people who understand your journey. - Returning to old habits and places can undo the healing you’ve achieved. - Embrace the transformation God is working in you. - Have the courage to seek new friendships and opportunities. 2. Trusting God with Our Little

    2024/10/26

    Trusting God with Our Little

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much."- Wesleyne Word of the Day Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.-Luke 16:10 Summary Have you ever been in a situation where you had just enough food, just enough gas, or just enough money to get by? In those moments, it’s easy to slip into a scarcity mindset, where we hold onto everything tightly because we fear there won’t be enough. But I want to challenge you to let go of that mindset. I remember a time when I had very little, but a friend was going through a crisis. I felt compelled to sponsor her therapy sessions, even though I wasn’t living in overflow myself. Do you know what happened next? God blessed me abundantly! It showed me that when we’re faithful with our little, God can turn it into something much greater. So I encourage you, when you receive your paycheck, give back to God first. Don’t wait to see what’s left over. Remember, if you can’t trust God with the little, how will you trust Him when He gives you more? Let’s embrace generosity and trust in His provision and you’ll be amazed at what can happen when you do! Takeaways - Trusting God with what you have leads to greater blessings. - A scarcity mindset limits your ability to see and receive God’s provision. - Generosity, even in small amounts, can create a significant impact. - Always prioritize giving God His portion off the top of your income. - Being faithful with little prepares you for greater responsibilities. Chapters: 00:00 - The Scarcity Mindset 01:30 - The Importance of Trusting God 02:45 - Generosity in Difficult Times 04:00 - The Impact of Faithful Giving 05:30 - Preparing for Overflow We’d love to hear what you gained from today’s episode! 3. The Fruitful Life

    2024/10/24

    The Fruitful Life

"If we turn our hearts away from God, we stop producing fruit."- Wesleyne Word of the Day: Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.- John 15:4-5 Summary Just like a branch needs to remain attached to the vine to produce fruit, we need to stay rooted in our relationship with God to live fruitful lives. When we lean into Him, we allow God to fill those empty spaces in our hearts and guide us in everything we do. When a branch is cut off, it withers and dies. That’s what happens to us spiritually if we turn away from God. We become disconnected and stop producing the good things in our lives. But if we remain in Him, He promises to remain in us. So let’s embrace that connection, trust Him, and remember that with God, we can do so much more. Stay rooted in faith, and see the amazing fruit that comes from that relationship. Takeaways - Remaining connected to God is essential for a fruitful life. - Just as a branch cannot thrive apart from the vine, we cannot flourish without God. - Leaning into God fills the gaps in our hearts and strengthens our faith. - Disconnection from God leads to spiritual withering. - Stay rooted in your relationship with God to experience His strength and guidance. Chapters 00:00 - The Importance of Connection 01:15 - Understanding Our Role as Branches 02:45 - The Consequences of Disconnection 04:00 - Leaning into God for Strength 05:30 - Trusting God to Bear Fruit We want to hear your thoughts on today’s episode! The Power of Love in Action

"Love is a verb; you can’t just tell someone you love them, you must show them through your actions."- Wesleyne Word of the Day This is my command: Love each other.- John 15 Summary Love isn’t just something we say; it’s something we do. It’s about showing up for one another, being consistent, and using words that uplift instead of hurt. True love is patient, kind, and exhibits self-control. It doesn’t mean putting yourself in harm's way or accepting neglect. I encourage you to pray and ask God to soften your heart toward those who have hurt you. Remember, God commanded us to love each other, but He never said we had to endure pain or rejection. So let’s embrace love, set healthy boundaries, and trust God to guide us in our relationships. Takeaways - Love is shown through actions, not just words. - It's possible to love difficult people from a distance while protecting yourself. - True love includes patience, kindness, and self-control. - God’s command to love each other does not mean enduring harm. - Pray for guidance to love those who have hurt you. 5. Turning Grief into Grace

    2024/10/20

    Turning Grief into Grace

"True healing begins when we open our hearts to God’s unfailing love"- Wesleyne Word of the Day Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, and filled with unfailing love. — Joel 2:13 Summary In times of grief and sadness, we often engage in the physical and emotional act of tearing ourselves apart. We replay scenarios, feel anger, and beat ourselves up over what could have been. However, the passage from Joel reminds us not to focus on these external expressions of pain. Instead, we should tear our hearts open to God, allowing His mercy and compassion to fill the void. God’s unfailing love is unlike any earthly love; it forgives without keeping score and embraces us unconditionally. In our moments of sorrow, it’s essential to soften our hearts and let God’s love heal us, rather than inflict further pain on ourselves. Takeaways - When feeling defeated, remember that God is not a God of defeat. - Negative emotions are tools of the enemy and should not be embraced. - Letting go of control and surrendering to God allows Him to work in our lives. - Fully surrendering to God means taking our hands off the situation and trusting Him completely. - Continually release worries and anxieties to God, trusting that He will take care of them. Finding Your Direction

"Choosing the right people to walk with can transform your journey through life."- Wesleyne Word of the Day Do two walk together unless they have agreed to meet?- Amos 3:3 Summary In this episode, we look into the importance of aligning your life’s direction with those around you. Relationships, be it with friends, family, or colleagues, can greatly influence our paths. The discussion highlights the significance of defining personal values and how they serve as a compass in our lives. While not everyone will share the same beliefs or habits, it's essential to recognize when a relationship may be leading you in a different direction. By seeking divine guidance and clarity, we are encouraged to detect the right people to surround ourselves with, while also addressing any unhealthy connections. 2024/10/18

    The Power of Praise

"Rejoicing means praising God for the breath in your body and the goodness He has given you thus far"- Wesleyne Word of the Day We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment, for we know how dearly God loves us because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.-Romans 5:3-5 (NLT) Summary In this episode, let us reflect on the challenging call to rejoice in the midst of trials and difficulties. Taking from Romans 5:3-5, problems and hardships are not merely obstacles but essential experiences that foster endurance, character, and hope. We are encouraged to embrace our struggles, recognizing that they can lead to personal growth and a deeper understanding of God’s love. 8. Embracing Hope and Patience in Life's Trials

    2024/10/17

Embracing Hope and Patience in Life's Trials

“In moments of hope and affliction, our joy and patience are the keys that unlock God’s presence in our lives.”- Wesleyne Word of the Day Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer - Romans 12:12 Summary When we think about hope, we often focus on what we’re waiting for, like landing that new job or achieving a weight goal. But what if we could find joy in that waiting? Instead of just longing for the future, let’s celebrate where we are right now and appreciate our current journey. Now, I know being patient during tough times is challenging. It’s tempting to rush through our pain and push for quick fixes. But sometimes, real healing happens when we allow ourselves to sit with those feelings and work through them. No matter what you're feeling(joy, sadness, or uncertainty), staying faithful in prayer is so important. Even the shortest prayers can be powerful. So, keep that connection with God strong, and trust that He’s with you in every season of life.
