The Invasion (2007)
We come to this place for magic, and what’s more magical than a breathy-voiced Nicole Kidman going up against alien spores with nothing but a handgun and a montage of unexpected high paced action sequences? Nothing, friends. The answer is nothing! Ok, well… a lot. Still, when you’re talking about an overlooked and relatively obscure mid-2000’s attempt at action-horror film such as 2007’s The Invasion, there’s plenty of nonsense for Troy and Roger to discuss! From a charming, yet severely underutilized Daniel Craig, to an even more underutilized blink and you’ll miss her appearance from a young Malin Akerman, to a surprise cameo appearance from none other than Nicole Kidman's nipples clear as day through a white T-shirt, how could these gays resist taking off on yet another out of this world review for this week’s episode!

Join the guys as they chat the glorious bitchy character evolution of one Lila Loomis, Tom Holland’s meticulously crafted screenplay, and their conflicted feelings for feeling sympathy for a serial killer.

The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007)
Things are about to get dramatic! We’re talking long flowing cape with a plague doctor mask dramatic as the guys discuss a film Troy adores and Roger has never seen but had huge expectations for, the 2007 found footage mockumentary The Poughkeepsie Tapes! Join the guys as they chat about the unfortunate acting of many minor characters, undoubtedly unsettling and memorable moments, and most importantly, if it lived up to Roger’s lofty expectations!

House of Wax (2005)
For this week’s episode of Dark Night of the Podcast, Paris Hilton won’t be the only thing having you all say “That’s hot!” At least not while you experience the sensation of hot, melted wax covering every inch of your body. It’s finally time for Troy and Roger to review one of the best remakes of our time, 2005s criminally underrated “House of Wax”. Like, what more could they have given us with this one?! You’re getting a sensible brunette Elisha Cuthbert donning a wife beater and losing fingers, Chad Michael Murray in his prime looking all sweaty and shirtless, some of the absolute best kill sequences we’ve seen post-millennium, and that chase… oh that chase… you know exactly the one we’re talking about! So make sure to light a couple of candles, but make sure you don’t burn yourself because… that’s hot! Oh come on, you knew it was coming…

Epitaph (1987)
Grab your bucket, blow torch, and favorite hungry rodent and join Troy and Roger as they discuss what is certainly the most obscure film they’ve ever covered—the 1987 direct to video dysfunctional family shocker Epitaph (aka Mommy’s Epitaph) directed by Joseph Merhi. The guys bask in their admiration for one Delores Nascar, ponder why the film isn’t more well known and celebrated among the gays, contemplate the logistics of gentleman still being alive days after being brutally stabbed repeatedly in the chest, and Troy shares his excitement and the longshot idea of remaking the film!

Love These Sassy Gays
Troy and Roger always know how to the bring the sass, laughs, thirst, and horror to every single episode. Always a good variety of films covered from different decades, the campy, the iconic, the underrated, even the bad. My favorite episode currently has to be the Urban Legend epsidoe (one of my faves!) but especially because they had the great opportunity to speak with Jamie Blanks. Keep up the great work guys!
Good Listening
This podcast was suggested by a friend of a friend while talking about bad movies and podcasts (Check out the Horrible Horror Podcast). After looking at some of the movies they have reviewed, I had to give a listen. It is a great listen. The energy and insight they bring to the reviews as well as some of the laughs makes this a great podcast.
Yassssss
