My new favorite podcast

I love this podcast! Stumbled upon this on a road trip and it quickly became my new favorite podcast. The chemistry between these two guys is great, their reviews are great, and their banter is pretty funny.
If you love horror movies, you will love this podcast.
Also being from Cleveland, OH, I very much appreciate the ‘Ohio connection’ they do on every review. 5 out 5 stars, would definitely recommend!

Good listen but lack of horror knowledge bit disappointing

I’ve been huge fan of horror movies for a long time, and after seeing Halloween Ends, I had a strong urge to want to find a podcast that discusses horror movies. Lot of the ones I’ve heard don’t do a great job, either too comedic, or don’t go into enough depth, or just simply summarize the movie and that’s it. I found this podcast, and gave it a shot. I like the intro music and their format. There’s a good balance of nice discussion about the movies and just regular banter around the movie. I enjoyed the Halloween end’s episode just cause I was getting around to liking the movie and I was glad they didn’t hate it as much as others have, and they brought up some good points. That’s the kind of stuff I like. However, there have been a lot of parts that have been too frustrating to hear with info they get wrong about the movie, or they question stuff that I feel like someone more than a casual horror fan should know (“did Halloween h20 come out before or after rob zombies Halloween”). Or there are times when they gloss over big parts in movies I wanted to hear them talk about. The getting information stuff wrong is the worst part for me personally though, it’s not something that happens a lot but it’s happened enough to where I find myself yelling at my phone every other episode, and it comes off like they’re just casual fans of horror. Not that they need to be hardcore fans, but still it just makes me question why they’d do a podcast on them if they don’t care about the genre that much. I know they say they’re not quite nerds on the genre in their intro but still, I wish they were bit more “nerdy” with the genre to not frustrate fans listening to them not getting stuff right about the movies or skipping over big parts in the movies. Like I said before though it’s still a good listen, and better than other horror movie podcasts. I just wish they put in the same amount of thought and research in the movies stories/background as much as they do research when finding a Ohio connection to the movies. I like it but at least watch the movies before the podcast and not rely on Wikipedia as much.
