As Manchester City battled against relegation from the Premier League in 2001, Joe Royle sought to add more firepower to his squad. From Leeds United, in came Darren Huckerby - a pacy centre-forward with an eye for a goal. Injury meant he wasn't able to play a crucial role in that end of season fight, but he came back better than before as Kevin Keegan's new-look City romped to the Division One title in 2001-02. Huckerby was a key part of that team, which scored bags of goals on their return to the top flight. In 2019, he spoke to David Mooney about his City career.
