Looking at our actions and their consequences from an Alien's point of view offers us a chance to step outside of ourselves and our own lives to see without our lenses and filters of daily life what we are doing to Planet Earth. The three places I would take an Alien are the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, on a kayak and jungle trek through Wilderness in South Africa and  Iguazu Falls and the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam on the border between Argentina and Paraguay.
