The Bible Recap

This is awesome. I’m learning so much and am starting to love reading my Bible. More and more falls into place all the time! TLC does a great job of tying everything together and making it applicable to today. Plus she has a great sense of humor.

I’ve been a church-going Christian since childhood, and I’ve read many parts of the Bible many times. But every time I tried to read the Bible all the way through I would burn out easily. I am in the hardest season of my life thus far, and I know that ultimately God is drawing me near, but the Bible Recap is making it not only easier but helps me savor the Word. I’m excited to read each morning and learn more about who He is. When I read the recap or listen to an episode of the podcast, it’s like talking to a close friend about what I just read. And we get to celebrate the LORD together, or hold difficult things “with an open hand.”

I have wanted to read through the Bible for so long and have started on more than one occasion, but have not had success! I chose to start with the New Testament, and am so grateful I did! I’m 30days in, and haven’t had to make up more than 1 day, and I look forward to it everyday! Having Tara help make sense of what I listen to is SO helpful and she even makes it fun. I love that almost daily, I laugh out loud because she has helped me connect to God’s word on a personal level so I get it! I just purchased the Kids version that I plan on giving to my daughter for Christmas so we can start from the beginning at the start of the year and go through the Bible together!
