Day 9: The race for Christmas Number One The Trial of Santa Claus

We welcome you once again to the trial of the century: yes, Santa Claus is in the dock, and the prosecution and defence will present the evidence for and against the imprisonment of Saint Nick - and the cancellation of Christmas.

So far, we have argued the case for and against Christmas trees, shopping, pantomimes, cracker jokes, and more - and on this day in our Christmas court, you - the jury - will be asked to deliberate on the race for Christmas Number One.

Do you really think that they are the top of the pops? Or should they be relegated to the bargain bin for the rest of time?
