Hamas broke the ceasefire by its surprise attack pogrom killing 1,200 and taking 200 hostages. Iran & Hamas’ mission is the destruction of Israel and the US/West. How should Israel and the US have acted? Mr. El Akkad, should blame Hamas for building its military around civilian infrastructure, using civilians as human shields. The Hamas Gaza medical ministry does not differentiate Hamas fighters from civilians. Hamas uses civilian deaths as propaganda against Israel. Why haven’t Arab governments taken in the Palestinian Arabs like Israel took in 800,000 Jews kicked out of Arab countries during Israel’s war for independence? Every Arab country where the PLO went, they caused trouble and were kicked out by the Arab government. It’s an existential war between Israel, a western democracy, and Hamas backed by Iran, a terrorist organization and a state sponsor of terrorism. One side or the other must surrender unconditionally for it to end. A ceasefire means another war for the next generation in about 20yrs. When Japan attacked the US, how do you think the Pacific War should have ended? The Japanese Army was good at murdering Chinese civilians - Kill All, Burn All, Loot All, but they did not keep good records like the Germans did killing Russian civilians. War is legalized/state sanctioned murder, there’s nothing that can make it pretty. The quicker the war is completed - with the unconditional surrender of one side or the other, the faster the suffering stops. This Arab-Israeli (Civi) War has been going on since 1946 - almost 80yrs.

I enjoy hearing different points of view, but there is s relatively subtle skew towards one side. Bias goes further than how a story is reported. Bias is reflected in stories chosen. While some episodes feature authors who favor more individual rights and autonomy, there is a definite lean towards authors who favor more collective power and state authority. These days, however, one must take what one can get.
