Deep CV Diving

Welcome to Deep CV Diving, a podcast where I dive deep into the CVs of industry leaders, to find the pearls of wisdom to help you in your career. I'm your host, Graham Seldon, and over the next six episodes you can listen in to interviews I've conducted with some of the world's most successful Professional Services, Business Development, Marketing, and Communications leaders. As an executive recruiter with over 25 years experience, I've conducted thousands of interviews and I never get bored. That's because by carefully asking the right questions and being interested in people's stories, no interview is ever the same and there is often much to learn what drives leaders in our field. What steps did they take to get where they are now? And what advice would they give to their younger selves? How have they navigated the highly political and competitive businesses they work in? Let's dive deep and find out. This podcast was powered by Seldon Rosser. Editor and Mix Engineer: Matteo Magariello. Producer and Creative Director: Peter Kerwood. Executive Producer: Graham Seldon. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Jessica Seah – Asia Editor at Law.com International

My guest in this first episode of Season 3 of Deep CV Diving is Hong Kong based Jessica Seah. Jessica has a Bachelor of Communications (PR & Journalism) from Australia and a Law & Management Diploma from Singapore. She began her career as a legal journalist in Sydney before moving to Hong Kong where she joined Herbert Smith Freehills as a Communications Manager (focused on media relations). This was the start of her in-house legal communications career and during the next 7 years she held similar roles with K&L Gates and Norton Rose Fulbright – the latter also took her to London.   In 2020 she returned to Hong Kong and back to journalism as the Editor of law.com where she researches and write feature columns and news on the legal sector in Asia. She often breaks the story ahead of other major news outlets and her articles are widely circulated in law firm boardrooms around the World.   Often opinionated but always respectful she undoubtedly has the most up to date knowledge of the Asian legal market and I am hoping she will share these insights as well as any advice she can give to in-house communications professionals on working with the media. This podcast is powered by Seldon Rosser. The sound and mix engineer is Matteo Magariello. The producer and creative director is Peter Kerwood, and the executive producer and host is Graham Seldon, asking the questions that get to the heart of great career journeys. Hosted on Acast.
