Ep. 186: Summer League, Free Agency, Oh My!
With Milwaukee Bucks Summer League at an end and the team more or less wrapped up with free agency, Adam and Kyle underwent a rare, "Oops, all rapid fire!" episode of the podcast. Riley poses questions about the rookies, the full-roster young guys, whether we'll live long enough to see the Bucks win a SL title, intriguing new additions, rating Jon Horst's offseason, and, of course, our first Eight Man Rotation Challenge.
All that, plus traditional Rapid Fire and a review of "Inside Out 2" by Kyle! -
Episode 185: The Future Has Arrived
With the Milwaukee Bucks miraculously picking not just one, but two teenagers in last week's NBA Draft, Riley and Kyle got together to make sense of it all. Is AJ Johnson two years away from being two years away? How likely is it that Tyler Smith can find some spot rotation minutes in year one? And can we even trust the organization's ability to develop young talent away from NBA minutes?
They discuss that, plus rapid fire questions and a review of Zac Efron's latest work, "A Family Affair". -
Episode 184: Build Bucks Back Better
We're back! Having taken the rest of the NBA playoffs off, Riley, Kyle, and Jackson assembled to recap the Milwaukee Bucks offseason thus far and do some draft prospect prep. They begin with the return of Darvin Ham, Giannis Antetokounmpo suiting up for Greece, out of shape Dame, Malik Beasley (probably) departing, and more. Then, they run through team needs leading up to the 2024 NBA Draft, discuss center, wing, and guard prospects of interest before wrapping with Rapid Fire and the latest edition of "Jackson's Build"!

Episode 183: New Process, Same Result
With the Milwaukee Bucks season ending on yet another unimpressive note, Riley, Kyle, and Adam got together one last time to try and sift through the wreckage. They cover what they learned from the series against the Indiana Pacers, lessons from the season as a whole, ask whether roster decisions are any less "tough" with years of sub-standard results, and do a little projection into the team's future. All that, plus one last go around with Rapid Fire, a ballpoint pen makes its way onto the stage, and Kyle's review of "Madame Web" ties the whole thing together in ways nobody could expect.
PS - Thanks for listening along to Deer Diaries for another season! We hope you enjoy the podcast as much as we enjoy putting it together and we sincerely appreciate everyone who listens, watches, and interacts with the show. -
Bucks-Pacers Game Five: Instant Reaction
The Milwaukee Bucks did more than just stave off elimination at the hands of the Indiana Pacers - they pummeled the opposition. Riley, Adam, and Kyle in a field reporter role discuss Milwaukee's 115-92 win and where things might just go next as the series returns to Indianapolis. The championship Bucks (plus Gallo) showed out, Doc Rivers's switching defense worked wonders, and Malik Beasley has a pulse again. They talk all that and more in this edition of Instant Reaction.

Bucks-Pacers Game Three: Instant Reaction
It wasn't close, then it was, and then it turned to ashes late. The Milwaukee Bucks fought back from a big first quarter deficit in an exhilarating 118-121 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers, and Riley goes solo to provide an instant reaction. How much worse can Bobby Portis get? Where does the team go if Damian Lillard is too banged up to play on Sunday? Khris Middleton gets his flowers and more in this game three breakdown.

Good content, sound engineer needed
I like the podcast as far as what they cover and talk about. Love the bucks, love in depth bucks analysis. Is there any way to get a sound engineer to balance the volume levels? I turn the volume up to hear the quietest mic, but then it blasts my eardrums when the loudest one starts talking. I endure regardless but think it would go a long way in taking it to the next level. Thanks for the content!
Great podcast with great banter
Come for the Bucks, stay for fountain pen ink reviews
Fun and knowledgeable
There’s no BS to be found on this Bucks site. They call it as they see it. Glad they are seeing the reality of Dante’s inferno on the court. Keep killing it.
