Last Saturday, the actor Denzel Washington received his minister’s license and was baptized. In a video he said, “It took a while, but I’m finally here . . . If [God] can do this for me, there’s nothing he can’t do for you.” Washington is right in ways we cannot begin to imagine. Today, we explore what we know of Christ’s loving, holy, unchanging nature and how it hints at all the unknown ways in which he intercedes for us every day.
