We start the podcast at Hunterpause and therefore unintentionally fill the time you're waiting for the manga to continue with three mild take generators. We talk about a nice young boy named Gon and his nice young friends as they prepare to risk their lives for an exam. Sounds like regular school am I right fellow teens? There's a big fish with legs, a deadly mimic swamp, too much jogging, and some sad backstory.

We talk about episodes 5 to 8. We see more Hisoka, and criticize funnie clown do an excited face, and make fun of Leorio's smell. Then, we make it to a cook off, and...Wow! Everyone failed the hunter exam in the middle of our episode! What do we do for the next ~140 episodes? Or, maybe they don't? Guess not, since we still have several eps of the exam left. Then everyone ends up in a blimp, and Gon and Killua (Kahlua? Killooha?) get their asses kicked by an old man, but just for fun. Then they drop everyone off at a jail tower for the Nonary Games! Stay tuned for our new nonexistent podcast Apples and Grapes!

We are trapped in Trick Tower, of which there is an ethical question buried in there about prisons and danger, but we don't have time to ask those because LOOK! A FIRE! A SPIDER! A GIRL!!! We watched eps 9 to 12 of the show, and at least 3 of the eps were good! And the second part of the terrible one was good! We also spend time talking about some fun similarities between Yu Yu Hakusho characters with our main cast

A good podcast would cut all interruptions and references to interruptions out; a great podcast would make sure you knew an interruption was taken out, and name its episode after the jokes made about the interruption.

Things get tense in this episode between Gon and Hisoka, but honestly not a whole lot happens? The first episode being a recap may be part of that! There's some blood-sucking butterflies, hunters being the hunted who are also being hunted in a circle, Tonpa almost shitting himself, and Hisoka knowing about Homestuck quadrants! We also get to see how the creator of HunterxHunter lives and he's so valid for it!

Well here's a dozy of an episode! Our longest yet! We watched episodes 21-25, which means we do an entire mini-arc. We get to find out about Killua's family dynamics, and boy does it sound abusive. At least we get to see a dog! Also Gon gets the shit beat out of him again, friendship can lift multiple cars, Killua becomes an influencer, and Illumi spreads conspiracy theories to steal jobs.
