Design Together

Abby interviews a range of people - each of them have very interesting stories. I find myself getting sucked into the episodes week after week finding something interesting to take away from them. Glad to have found out about this podcast series.

As a new design educator at the collegiate level, Abby’s podcast serves as an incredibly insightful and valuable resource for me. I appreciate her efforts to give voices to so many different design leaders and other educators in the field, and I enjoy hearing a distinguished array of diverse perspectives and ideas on integrating methods of collaboration in the classroom and the workplace. Design Together brings to light our duty as designers and educators to best serve our communities successfully as a unit. I value Abby’s mission to bring a deeper understanding of why working together is so important and timely in today’s world. We achieve a more integrated and inclusive atmosphere by working together, and by listening closely to our fellow design leaders, educators and students at a variety of academic levels/fields of design. I am now inspired to reform my own methods in teaching and collaborating as I move forward in my journey as a design educator. I can’t wait to hear more!

Abby creates engaging narratives through her interviews, inviting her guests to speak with authenticity from experience. She situates her conversations in an applied and timely context, highlighting transferable knowledge for application in other environments. Abby and her guests discuss useful examples of collaboration in design, sharing essential lessons for collaborative work.

This is a wonderful podcast. Lots of useful, thoughtful information from designers in the industry. If you’re a design student, you owe it to yourself to take the time to listen to these podcasts,; I’m sure you will come away from these episodes with practical knowledge that can inform your mindset, and make you a holistic future designer. If you’re a designer in the field, there’s lots of wisdom here and if you’re open to it, you’ll also learn from these different perspectives. And lastly, for educators, I think some of the discussion here will be valuable knowledge that you can impart to your students and help them to become well-rounded designers. All these podcasts are informal conversations that are deftly propelled by the host, Abby, and she makes it all sound really interesting. I’m looking forward to hearing more.
