Exactly what I needed!
I have been struggling for a long time with my website. Originally, I had hired several people over the course of many years to try to build something that I had imagined I wanted. But increasingly, I've become frustrated with the lack of control over my own content. It's so frustrating to try to interact with a designer when all you can do is say "I'd kind of like to do this", or "can you make it more like that", or "I need this thing added". Not to mention expensive, eating up all that time for nothing. I have an idea for exactly what I want. But I don't know how to do it myself - and it's almost impossible to tell even the best person what you want, and have it done exactly how you want the first time, because I don't even know what words to use.
In short, please please please keep doing this podcast because Even after the first few episodes I am starting to feel like I actually can do this myself!!
Design more. Designer less.
This is a great podcast! I've enjoyed the inaugural episodes so far, and look forward to the next one! Bite-sized and very digestible for those just starting out designing their own websites.
